Dr. Pamela Garcia
As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Postdoctoral Fellow, I am committed to helping individuals navigate the challenges of life and create lasting positive change. My therapeutic approach centers on empowering you to explore, understand, and develop effective strategies for addressing the underlying factors that contribute to trauma, stress, anxiety, depression, and addictions. Through the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I guide clients in uncovering unhelpful patterns of thought and behavior, offering a structured pathway toward healing and personal growth.
In therapy, I strive to create a safe, emotionally secure environment where you can feel genuinely heard and understood. I believe in establishing a strong personal therapeutic connection, as it fosters trust and facilitates deeper exploration of the issues that matter most to you. My goal is not only to help you manage symptoms but to improve your overall quality of life by empowering you to make meaningful changes.
A key area of my specialization is identifying and addressing ineffective stress-coping mechanisms. Many of us rely on unproductive strategies to manage daily life stress, which can exacerbate mental health challenges. Together, we will explore these behaviors and work to replace them with healthier, more adaptive coping techniques that promote a positive, growth-oriented life.
In addition to providing counseling, I also conduct comprehensive assessments under the supervision of Dr. Rivers at RTA, where I am involved in the evaluation and diagnostic process, ensuring that each client receives a tailored and thorough treatment plan.
Through this collaborative approach, my aim is to help you move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and resilience.
